About the position

As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you will be responsible for preparing delicious food, overseeing kitchen operations, and training future kitchen leaders. This role emphasizes teamwork and creating a great customer experience while ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure food quality by cooking and preparing food to order following kitchen procedures.
  • Monitor food waste levels and inventory, addressing any food quality issues.
  • Support strong team dynamics between back-of-house and front-of-house team members.
  • Develop team members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure excellent service and performance.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen.
  • Supervise kitchen equipment and ensure it is maintained in good condition; arrange for repairs of malfunctioning equipment promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries and accidents.
  • Complete Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO).

Requirements

  • Experience as a team member at Chipotle.
  • Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
  • Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in restaurants.
