About the position

The Service Leader is responsible for maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring safe and quality food preparation and service, training restaurant staff, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves keeping the line clean and organized, ensuring equipment is functioning properly, and assisting with various tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that delicious and high-quality food is served.
  • Help resolve food quality issues.
  • Support food safety, including hand washing, glove changing, time and temperature control, and compliance with food safety checklists and policies.
  • Assist in resolving customer incidents and work to ensure positive customer experiences.
  • Help supervise team member breaks, shift changes, and line schedules.
  • Develop and train all front-of-house staff members.
  • Assist in performance reviews of team members.
  • Develop future Service Leaders.
  • Assist with administrative office tasks, such as banking operations and cash handling policies.
  • Ensure office equipment is maintained and office supplies are ordered as needed.
  • Ensure the availability of the appropriate amount of supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience as a team member or kitchen leader at Chipotle.
  • Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
  • Knowledge and experience with cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health department regulations.
  • Familiarity with office paperwork.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in restaurants.
