About the position
The Life and Leisure Specialist at Milestone Support Center is responsible for organizing and facilitating resident activities within a managed community. This role involves working under the direction of the Director of Lifestyle and Leisure to enhance resident engagement and enjoyment through various activities and events.
Responsibilities
- Determine resident activity preferences and orient residents to the activity program.
- Arrange entertainment within budgetary constraints for resident enjoyment.
- Promote activities to improve resident participation.
- Collaborate with the Lifestyle and Leisure Director to plan, advertise, set up, and clean up events.
- Organize transportation for activity outings and medical visits for residents.
- Ensure safety in the workplace and manage unsafe actions.
- Foster teamwork and assist co-workers beyond job responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of one year experience in Assisted Living preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong personnel skills and positive community relations skills are essential.
- Commercial Driving License (CDL) preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in organizing community events.
- Knowledge of resident engagement strategies.
