About the position

The Life & Annuity Sales Director at Accenture is responsible for leading a team of Sales Directors to drive sales of SaaS solutions, Cloud Hosting, and Professional Services within the Life and Annuity industry. This role involves managing software sales campaigns, cultivating relationships with key clients, and ensuring the success of sales and marketing teams. The position requires a deep understanding of the Life and Annuity insurance sector and a proven track record in software sales and technology modernization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Sales Directors to meet and exceed sales targets selling SaaS solutions, Cloud Hosting, IO/AO, and Professional Services for the US Life and Annuity industry.
  • Proactively manage software sales campaigns and close opportunities using deep sales process and software offering expertise.
  • Cultivate relationships with C-Level and IT/business leaders to ensure growth of software revenue in complex transformational opportunities.
  • Meet key clients and prospects within established accounts regularly to build and nurture relationships and identify further opportunities.
  • Comprehend and effectively communicate Accenture's overall business strategies, offerings, and technology to provide total client business value.
  • Effectively lead Sales, Pre-Sales, and Product Marketing teams to ensure success.

Requirements

  • 10+ years working with technology modernization for the Life and Annuity Insurance industry
  • 10+ years in vendor software sales/professional services sales
  • 10+ years of experience and knowledge of the Life and Annuity industry
  • 10+ years of ERP software sales or project management experience with a track record of exceeding sales goals
  • 10+ years of building and leading strong sales, marketing, and pre-sales teams

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep knowledge of Life and Annuity insurance processing systems
  • Broad knowledge of the insurance technology competitive landscape and marketplace
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with C-suite executives (CEO, CIO, COO, CAO, etc.)
  • Experience in the development and implementation of marketing strategies, campaigns, and offers, and in the origination of new business
  • Proven track record of executing complex sales opportunities
