About the position

The Life Claims Intern position at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance offers a valuable opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry. Interns will assist in processing death claims, participate in process improvement initiatives, and contribute to training and development efforts, all while working under the guidance of experienced claim handlers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing death claims by reviewing claim documentation and verifying policy information.
• Prepare claim payments under the supervision of experienced claim handlers.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives by analyzing current claims handling procedures.
• Create visual aids for complex processes and refine documentation for life claims and annuities.
• Assist in the creation or updating of training materials and develop quick reference guides for common claim scenarios.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Operations, Finance, Statistics, Liberal Arts, or Project Management.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
