About the position

Progress House Association (PHA) is seeking dedicated and compassionate Reentry Life Coaches/Peer Coaches to join our team. This role is critical in fostering personal development and community healing through the implementation of restorative practices and comprehensive, trauma-informed case management. The ideal candidate will have lived experience and a strong commitment to helping individuals transition smoothly from the Lynnwood Jail back into the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support both pre- and post-release inside and outside the jail in the Lynnwood area.
  • Foster personal development and guide participants through their reentry process.
  • Utilize the Human Dignity Model, Restorative Circles, and the Wheel of Wellness in daily practices and interactions with participants.
  • Develop tailored wellness plans that address physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health needs.
  • Conduct screenings and assessments using tools like CAIS, DAST-10, ACEs, PHQ-9, and GAD-7.
  • Develop comprehensive, trauma-informed, and personalized case management plans and regularly update these plans based on ongoing assessments and participant progress.
  • Facilitate connections to substance use and behavioral health treatment, housing referrals, employment assistance, and educational opportunities.
  • Assist participants in obtaining and managing state healthcare coverage and encourage engagement with faith-based and community support networks.
  • Participate in restorative circle training and assist in the preparation and facilitation of sessions.
  • Conduct proactive recruitment sessions inside the jail and engage with correctional officers to identify potential participants.
  • Actively involve community members in the project to ensure responsiveness and relevance.
  • Find and build your clients list.

Requirements

  • Experience in reentry support, case management, or related fields.
  • Lived experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals transitioning from incarceration.
  • Training or certification in restorative practices and trauma-informed care is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Ability to drive client participation and build client roster.
