About the position
The Life Enrichment Assistant at Eskaton Properties, Inc. is responsible for implementing various social activities aimed at enhancing the social, physical, and mental welfare of residents in a senior living community. This role is part-time, requiring availability on weekends, and focuses on creating an engaging lifestyle for older adults.
Responsibilities
- Implement social activities for residents to enhance their social, physical, and mental well-being.
- Assist in leading recreational activities and events for the elderly.
- Drive residents to outings as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive environment for residents.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent G.E.D.
- Previous experience working with the elderly in a recreational setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Title XXII and OBRA preferred.
- Understanding of leading activities for seniors.
- Valid CA driver's license.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a senior living or healthcare environment.
- Certification in recreational therapy or related field.
