About the position
The Life Enrichment Assistant at StoryPoint of Clinton Township plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in a senior living community. This part-time position involves planning and executing activities that promote social welfare and engagement among residents, while also ensuring their safety and well-being. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, including potential evening and weekend shifts, and includes responsibilities related to transportation and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Life Enrichment Director with planning and executing activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
- Support the Life Enrichment Director and Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a high level of resident safety while completing all tasks and functions.
- Assist in the setup, cleanup, and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
- Support transportation by attending outings and coordinating relevant administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum one to three years of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Must possess a valid Chauffeur's Permit license within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Proficient in general computer skills.
- Compassionate towards the senior population.
