About the position

The Life Enrichment Associate is responsible for implementing a comprehensive activity care program that focuses on daily therapeutic and social activities for residents, particularly those with memory loss. This part-time role emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for elderly residents through engaging activities and socialization.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive continuous activity care program focused on daily therapeutic and social activities.
• Provide activities based on the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents.
• Post daily continuous engagement activities and ensure all residents are invited and encouraged to attend.
• Conduct daily activities including exercise, social gatherings with hydration and snacks, sing-alongs, and baking/cooking.
• Provide continuous activities from the beginning to the end of each shift.
• Collaborate with Care Practitioners to meet the needs of the residents.
• Organize a minimum of one outing per week with 10+ residents in attendance.
• Ensure environments are attractively decorated with holiday and seasonal decor.
• Create a vibrant milieu with lights, sounds, and aromas to encourage socialization and purposeful living.
• Model the Mission, Values, and Principles of Service with residents and team members.

Requirements

• A passion for working with the elderly, especially those with memory loss.
• Creative and full of energy.
• A valid driver's license.
