About the position

The Life Enrichment Coordinator at Southminster Inc. is responsible for supporting the administrative operations of the Life Enrichment Office and assisting in the planning and implementation of resident programs. This role promotes enriching activities that enhance resident wellbeing while maintaining a positive community environment. The coordinator will manage reservations, assist with budgetary reporting, and provide support to various committees and volunteers.

Responsibilities

  • Support administrative operations of the Life Enrichment Office.
  • Assist in the coordination, planning, and implementation of resident programs.
  • Promote enriching programs and activities that support resident wellbeing.
  • Manage the reservation line and track reservations for programs and transportation.
  • Attend and participate in departmental and community events as needed.
  • Provide timely departmental budgetary reporting and submission for billing and supplies.
  • Utilize communication tools to generate awareness of Life Enrichment Programs.
  • Provide administrative support to the LE Manager & Director with printed and digital collateral.
  • Monitor shared room calendars and community room signage for accuracy.
  • Assist with research related to community events and industry trends.
  • Coordinate volunteers and assist with resident committees.
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for fire and safety procedures and maintaining a safe environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in long-term care activities program and/or independent living activities program preferred.
  • Experience working with the geriatric population and knowledge of Alzheimer's/Dementia preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event planning and community outreach.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA standards and healthcare information confidentiality.
