About the position

The Life Insurance Sales Agent role at Kemper involves providing insurance services to modest-income families through personal visits and sales presentations. Agents will work with an existing book of business and have the opportunity to grow their client base while earning a performance-based income. The position emphasizes community engagement and personal satisfaction in helping clients protect their loved ones and assets.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting sales presentations and recommending products to clients.
  • Closing sales and utilizing the Customer Care Sales Model.
  • Continuously prospecting for new sales opportunities.
  • Collecting premiums from policyholders on a pre-arranged schedule.
  • Responding promptly to policyholder service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans.
  • Maintaining accurate records and accounting for money collected.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Ability to visit customers and prospects door-to-door.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with 100k/300k auto insurance coverage is necessary.
  • Dependable vehicle is required for daily travel.
  • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report check, and drug screening.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
