About The Position

The LifeSavers Processing Operator at Mars, Incorporated is responsible for operating automated and manual manufacturing equipment to produce LifeSavers candy. This role involves adhering to established manufacturing procedures and formulas, ensuring quality control, and maintaining production schedules in a team-based environment. The position requires cross-training in various roles within the processing department and participation in continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math skills to calculate ingredients
• Pallet jack operation experience
• Ability to work as a team player to achieve company goals
• High sense of urgency and accountability
• Demonstrated problem-solving capability
• Experience with computers and touch screen tablets
• Familiarity with TPM/Lean Manufacturing is a plus
• Experience with MS Office Products and Outlook is a plus

• Mixing or related experience

Responsibilities

• Perform general housekeeping duties in the LifeSavers processing department
• Complete frequent observation of work-in-process and record keeping, such as Quality Control Point sheets
• Independently operate processing machines to produce quality LifeSaver products
• Cross-train in various positions within the LifeSavers processing departments
• Participate in MSE progression through the AM model or Focused Improvement Loss Projects
