About the position

The Senior Engineer on the Life Sciences Team is responsible for planning and executing multiple projects within various manufacturing environments, serving as a subject matter expert on commissioning and consulting projects. This role involves leading projects that ensure reliable processes, promote patient safety, and maintain operational integrity in facilities. The position offers the opportunity to work with clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device, microelectronics, and semiconductor industries, providing valuable experience in manufacturing and laboratory environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, schedule, and budget assigned projects.
  • Inform other project engineers and senior project engineers regarding staff scheduling.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support on capital projects related to construction and renovation of manufacturing and laboratory spaces.
  • Serve as an Owner's Project Manager on new construction and upgrades within the life sciences and related industries.
  • Execute and manage commissioning tasks within the budgeted time.
  • Maintain relations with existing clients on assigned projects.
  • Support the engineering manager in training and mentoring team members on documentation development, field procedures, and equipment usage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering or construction/maintenance related experience with a 2-year engineering technology degree.
  • At least 3 years' experience working in or supporting the construction or upgrade of manufacturing or related spaces.
  • EIT or CEM certification is preferred.
  • Understanding of FDA regulated industries is desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC and/or electrical systems.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of lifting at least 30 pounds and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to travel to and from various jobsites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in FDA regulated industries.
  • Certification in EIT or CEM.
