About the position

The Life Sciences Copywriter & Content Strategist at HealthVerity is a pivotal role within the marketing team, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive content strategy. This position collaborates closely with various departments to create high-quality written content that aligns with the company's mission and enhances its reputation as a thought leader in the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the written voice for pharmaceutical manufacturer, government, and payer-facing clients.
  • Produce high-quality articles, white papers, blogs, press releases, email marketing, case studies, presentation content, and web copy.
  • Write clean, concise, well-polished, and provocative copy consistent with HealthVerity's tone and mission.
  • Lead research to drive thought leadership that fuels white papers, webinars, press, and enhances the reputation of HealthVerity.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team for collaborative content delivery across all digital channels.
  • Implement SEO best practices in web content to increase traffic to the website.
  • Manage the HealthVerity editorial calendar and written guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor positioning, and customer challenges to build an effective editorial calendar.
  • Assess the suitability of new social platforms if relevant.
  • Collaborate with the Design team to produce video, graphics, and collateral to accompany content.

Requirements

  • Healthcare / Life sciences industry experience required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of digital marketing and content marketing work in a collaborative B2B environment.
  • Strong research, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in a deadline-oriented environment due to tight time restraints and volume of work.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Experience managing KPIs and tracking effectiveness of content distribution.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated with a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with HubSpot and WordPress.
