About the position

As a Life Sciences Facility Project Manager at CBRE, you will play a crucial role in providing consulting services to a dedicated Life Sciences client account located in West Chester, PA. This position is not remote and requires an onsite presence in West Chester, with occasional site visits to Springhouse, PA. Your primary responsibility will be to manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with the client's strategic business objectives. In this role, you will develop capital plans for various facilities projects, overseeing portfolio management and project execution. This includes all stages of project management, from planning and design to construction, occupancy, and closeout. You will interact directly with the client's site lead to manage and lead all projects, preparing essential elements such as the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates, budget, work plan schedules, milestones, quality control, and risk identification. You will also be responsible for defining project delivery resources, conducting requests for proposals, completing bid evaluations, and recommending resources to clients. Implementing project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements is essential, as is ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of project data and documentation. You will direct the project delivery team, providing mentorship and guidance to achieve project goals, while also building action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Tracking project progress and reporting status and variances will be a key part of your responsibilities. Your ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans will be critical in this role. You will be expected to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Mentoring others and sharing your expertise will be part of your daily activities, as will leading by example and modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE's RISE values. You will work within broad guidelines and policies, explaining difficult or sensitive information as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Develop capital plans for various Facilities projects and manage portfolio management and project execution.
  • Interact directly with the client's site lead to manage and lead all projects.
  • Prepare all elements of the project, including scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates, budget, work plan schedule, milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process.
  • Conduct standard requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation are accurate, timely, and coordinated.
  • Direct the project delivery team by providing mentorship and direction to achieve goals.
  • Build action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule, and track the progress of each project.
  • Identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with at least 5 years of proven experience; a combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • General knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices, and the ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a sophisticated inquisitive mentality.
