About the position

The Life Sciences Labs Manager at Accenture is responsible for leading digital laboratory transformation initiatives, leveraging scientific and laboratory informatics expertise to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation in scientific processes. This role involves collaborating with clients to shape their digital transformation vision, managing project execution, and ensuring alignment with business goals while utilizing cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Play a wide variety of roles related to delivery and sales, shaping digital laboratory solutions for clients.
  • Analyze and design new business processes.
  • Identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases.
  • Serve as a liaison to the business community and participate in user and task analysis.
  • Improve organization performance and achieve program goals by developing and executing end-to-end project activities.
  • Calculate and crisply articulate the business value generated by solutions.
  • Demonstrate creativity and flexibility when creating and driving project plans and estimates, scope and requirements from implementation to deployment.
  • Proactively manage and report on execution of deliverables.
  • Master communicators across multiple stakeholders aligning priorities and direction.
  • Shape client's digital transformation vision, focus areas, and journey from the current state to a 'to-be' enterprise environment.
  • Provide point-of-view on digital lab solutions to deliver on transformational goals along with strengths and weaknesses of various planning solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior client leaders to ensure buy-in to recommended solutions.
  • Serve as the planner/architect for a delivery initiative and oversee the design and implementation of digital lab solutions, processes, and operating model.
  • Actively manage risks to client engagements, practice performance, and brand/reputation.
  • Proactively coach project resources to increase their knowledge and effectiveness.
  • Help to develop the Scientific Informatics consulting portfolio through thought leadership and opportunity identification.
  • Manage business development opportunities to bring innovative solutions and ways of working to clients.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working in the field of scientific and laboratory informatics, within R&D and/or QC Manufacturing spaces.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Laboratory Science / Life Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology) or Computer Science or Engineering (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering).

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working for a Consulting Firm or Scientific/Laboratory Informatics firm.
