About the position

The Manager, Scientific and Laboratory Informatics at Accenture plays a pivotal role in shaping digital laboratory solutions for clients, focusing on enhancing scientific processes through innovative technologies. This position involves analyzing and designing business processes, managing project execution, and collaborating with senior client leaders to drive digital transformation in laboratory environments. The role requires a blend of scientific expertise and consulting experience to deliver value and improve operational efficiency in various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Play a wide variety of roles related to delivery and sales, shaping digital laboratory solutions for clients.
  • Analyze and design new business processes.
  • Identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases.
  • Serve as a liaison to the business community and participate in user and task analysis.
  • Improve organization performance and achieve program goals by developing and executing end-to-end project activities.
  • Calculate and crisply articulate the business value generated by solutions.
  • Demonstrate creativity and flexibility when creating and driving project plans and estimates, scope and requirements from implementation to deployment.
  • Proactively manage and report on execution of deliverables.
  • Master communicators across multiple stakeholders aligning priorities and direction.
  • Shape client's digital transformation vision, focus areas, and journey from the current state to a 'to-be' enterprise environment.
  • Provide point-of-view on digital lab solutions to deliver on transformational goals along with strengths and weaknesses of various planning solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior client leaders to ensure buy-in to recommended solutions.
  • Serve as the planner/architect for a delivery initiative and oversee the design and implementation of digital lab solutions, processes, and operating model.
  • Actively manage risks to client engagements, practice performance, and brand/reputation.
  • Proactively coach project resources to increase their knowledge and effectiveness.
  • Help to develop and Scientific Informatics consulting portfolio through thought leadership and opportunity identification.
  • Manage business development opportunities to bring innovative solutions and ways of working to clients.
  • Build and apply technical, industry, organization, and functional knowledge to support efforts in selling opportunities to existing and new clients.

Requirements

  • 6+ Years of experience working in the field of scientific and laboratory informatics, within R&D and/or QC Manufacturing spaces.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Laboratory Science / Life Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology) or Computer Science or Engineering (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering)
