About The Position

The Life Skills Instructional Aide at Overton ISD is responsible for supporting medically fragile students in their educational journey. This role is essential in providing assistance in reading, writing, and mathematics, ensuring that students receive the necessary support to thrive in a structured learning environment. The position is full-time and will commence in mid-January 2025, aligning with the 2024-25 school year.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to work well with children.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics to students.
• Support medically fragile students in their daily activities and learning.
• Communicate effectively with students to facilitate their understanding and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
