About the position
The Driver position at Trinity Health PACE is primarily responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for PACE participants, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during transit. This role involves transporting meals, durable medical equipment, and pharmacy items, while maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle. The position requires effective communication with department leaders regarding any safety issues and adjustments to schedules as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and timely transportation of PACE participants.
- Transport meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy items, and other necessary items.
- Maintain overall cleanliness and safety of the assigned vehicle.
- Communicate any safety issues to the department leader.
- Follow assigned schedules and make adjustments as necessary to meet participant needs.
- Provide physical assistance to participants when boarding and debarking from vehicles.
- Operate equipment safely and in compliance with vehicle licensing regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license in good standing required.
- CDL license with passenger endorsement required for vehicles exceeding 15 passengers.
- Minimum one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population.
