About the position

The Lifeguard position at The Grove Resort & Water Park Orlando is a full-time role focused on ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests at the resort's pool and water facilities. Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring recreational areas, responding to emergencies, enforcing safety regulations, and providing excellent guest service. This role requires vigilance, professionalism, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor guests in recreational areas and provide constant surveillance of pool areas to ensure guest safety.
• Act as a first responder to emergency situations that occur in the recreational areas.
• Enforce policies, rules, and regulations of the recreation locations.
• Perform life-saving techniques, CPR, and first aid procedures in emergency situations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time while monitoring the pool, lazy river, and pier area.
• Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions.
• Clear waterpark and pool area of used towels, lifejackets, and trash.
• Maintain and exchange used and clean towel bins.
• Proactively address guest needs by answering questions, giving directions, and providing information about the resort or surrounding areas.
• Maintain overall upkeep of all cabanas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months of work experience as a Lifeguard preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certified.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and kneeling.
