About the position
The Salvation Army is seeking a part-time Lifeguard for its Sand Springs Club in Oklahoma. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safety of all swimmers by providing constant surveillance during pool operations and responding to emergencies as needed. The position requires a valid lifeguard certification and the ability to enforce pool rules effectively.
Responsibilities
- Serve as lifeguard for all pool operations.
- Provide constant surveillance of pool activities.
- Respond to emergency rescue situations when needed.
- Enforce all swimming pool rules.
- Supervise swimmers to ensure their safety.
Requirements
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Complete the required training to be a certified lifeguard.
- Six months of experience as a lifeguard or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of life-saving techniques and ability to perform them in emergencies.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to swim and meet lifesaving requirements.
