The Oasis Lifeguard at Arizona Grand Resort & Spa plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests at the resort's water park facilities. Under the supervision of the Lead Lifeguard and Oasis Managers, the Lifeguard will assist in the safe implementation of various water park programs, including slides, wave pools, hot tubs, lazy river rides, and swimming pools. This position is safety-sensitive, meaning that the responsibilities include monitoring the performance and operation of water-related activities to ensure the health and safety of all guests. Lifeguards are expected to maintain a vigilant watch over guests, respond to emergencies, and provide assistance as needed, ensuring that safety regulations are upheld at all times. In addition to the essential functions, the Oasis Lifeguard will be involved in various supportive tasks as determined by the supervisor. This may include assisting with Oasis activities, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and being flexible in performing duties across different areas of the Oasis & Recreation Program. The position requires availability seven days a week, including weekends, and may involve early to late hours depending on the resort's needs. Lifeguards must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the Oasis to effectively perform their duties without hesitation. Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior lifeguard and water park experience preferred. Lifeguard certification, CPR certification, and first aid certification are required, although the resort will provide certification after hire. The ideal candidate will have a background in recreation and aquatics, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
