Lifestyle & Events Coordinator

About the position

The Lifestyle & Events Coordinator at The Dermot Company is responsible for planning and executing events that enhance resident engagement under the Ignite hospitality brand. This full-time role involves organizing a variety of events, from health and wellness activities to social gatherings, aimed at fostering a sense of community among residents. The coordinator will work closely with the Lifestyle & Events Manager to ensure successful event programming and promote the luxury lifestyle membership available to Dermot property residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead events across NYC properties, ensuring successful execution and high resident engagement.
• Provide exceptional customer service to enhance enrollment, retention, and satisfaction with Dermot's Ignite memberships.
• Assist in growing the luxury hospitality and marketing brand, creating awareness around the brand.
• Plan ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) events and support social initiatives.
• Provide relevant reporting to property teams, leadership, and investors as requested.
• Assist with other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field (GPA 3.0 or above).
• 0-2 years of hands-on event planning and hosting experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to meet deadlines.
• Creativity and an inclination to think outside the box.
• Working knowledge of current social media trends and understanding of the platforms' algorithms.
• Personable, outgoing, and enjoy meeting new people.
• Self-starter and multitasker.
• Enjoy researching and keeping up with the latest developments in event planning.
