About the position

The Lift Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of ski lifts during the winter season of 2024-25. This role involves performing routine maintenance, conducting inspections, and assisting with repairs while adhering to safety protocols. The Lift Mechanic will also train lift operations staff and support the Lift Maintenance Director with major projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on all ski lifts according to industry and manufacturer recommendations.
• Conduct line machinery repairs, hydraulic part maintenance, and electrical work.
• Perform non-destructive testing of welds on chair parts and grips.
• Assist with terminal repairs and inspections.
• Understand the full operation of each lift, including transfer to auxiliary power when needed.
• Train lift operations staff during the winter ski season.
• Assist the Lift Maintenance Director with major lift repairs and projects.
• Coordinate work projects based on annual maintenance needs.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Follow and comply with all resort safety rules and use appropriate safety equipment at all times.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Attentive to detail
• Previous mechanic experience preferred but willing to train the right applicant
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
