About The Position
As a Lift Operator at Snowbasin Resort, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our guests during their winter experience. Your primary responsibility will be to operate various lifts, gondolas, tows, and carpets, providing seamless access to the mountain for skiers and snowboarders. You will be expected to follow all company and departmental safety policies and procedures diligently, ensuring that every guest has a safe and enjoyable experience. This position requires a proactive approach to anticipating guests' needs and delivering service that exceeds their expectations. In addition to operating lifts, you will be responsible for completing pre-operational procedures and inspections to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly. You will assist in snow removal and the daily setup and routine maintenance of work areas, contributing to the overall safety and aesthetics of the resort. It is essential to remain alert for guests improperly loading and unloading the ski lifts, as your vigilance will help prevent accidents and ensure a smooth operation. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work with various mountain departments to assist in resolving any issues that may arise during operations. Your ability to work independently or as part of a small team will be vital in accomplishing daily job-related tasks efficiently. This position requires a commitment to working weekends, holidays, and nights as needed, with the availability to start in mid-November, marking the beginning of the winter season.
