AQUALIS is seeking a National Sales Manager for Lift Stations, a pivotal role responsible for driving revenue growth and fostering strong client relationships within the wastewater treatment sector. The company is a leader in comprehensive water management services, focusing on maintaining, inspecting, and repairing post-construction stormwater and lift station systems. As environmental challenges continue to escalate due to aging infrastructure and climate change, AQUALIS is committed to delivering sustainable water management solutions across various industries, including retail, commercial, industrial, municipal, healthcare, and education. In this role, the National Sales Manager will be tasked with developing a robust pipeline of business opportunities that not only meet but exceed sales quotas. This includes managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure, ensuring that proposals are well-crafted and aligned with client needs. The position requires a proactive approach to business development, leveraging professional networking and dedicated prospecting to generate leads. The successful candidate will orchestrate discussions with senior executives, lead negotiations, and drive prospects through to contract award, ensuring a seamless implementation of solutions for clients. The National Sales Manager will also be responsible for maintaining high-level contacts with current and prospective business partners, thereby increasing market penetration and enhancing brand recognition. Meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets is a key expectation, along with creating and maintaining customer business plans that outline strategies and objectives for success. This position reports directly to the Chief Development Officer and is ideally based in the Southeast or Midwest territories, with significant travel expected to meet clients and prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a pipeline of viable opportunities that exceeds sales quotas and keep abreast of prospects.
  • Own the sales cycle from lead generation to closure, including proposals, scoping, pricing, and contract negotiations.
  • Deliver revenue growth aligned with the category strategies and profit objectives of the company.
  • Generate business opportunities through professional, dedicated prospecting and lead generation.
  • Orchestrate discussions with senior executives around their business needs.
  • Lead negotiations on client contracts.
  • Drive prospects through to contract award, including proposal presentation and successful implementation of the solution with clients.
  • Build, deepen, and maintain high-level contacts with current and prospective business partners to increase market penetration and brand recognition.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Create and maintain customer business plans that layout the strategy, objectives, and tactics to achieve success with a customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience and proven sales success.
  • Previous industry experience with wastewater, lift stations, plumbing, or facilities maintenance sales is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills for print and digital executions.
  • Confidence in communicating with senior level executives both internally and externally.
  • Previous project management or account management experience preferred.
  • Overnight travel required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in facilities maintenance (1 year preferred).
  • Experience in environmental services (1 year preferred).
