About The Position

The Lift Truck Operator at Mohawk Industries is responsible for operating lift trucks to transport materials and products within the manufacturing and distribution environment. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and teamwork, ensuring that all tasks related to loading, unloading, and inventory management are performed accurately and in compliance with company procedures.

Requirements

• Lift truck experience preferred.
• Experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment helpful, but not required.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• Ability to be an effective team member.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, if needed.
• Able to sit, stand, reach, bend and twist without restrictions.
• Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. to replace film on wrapper.
• Must have ability to mount and dismount lift truck repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Performing tasks that utilize a lift truck including properly transporting stackable bins/pallets/raw materials with a squeeze lift or forklift.
• Performing pre-operational daily safety inspection/checklist.
• Following all safety procedures for the job duties assigned.
• Loading/unloading elevated stacks and lifting/moving objects/products.
• Maintaining all housekeeping items and following all housekeeping procedures associated with the position.
• Placing recycle materials in correct trailers.
• Loading and unloading trucks as scheduled or as directed by the Team Leader.
• Transporting correct stock item and number of units from inventory for shipment.
• Locating product in inventory.
