The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) is seeking a Limited Duration Operations and Policy Analyst 3, Joint Department Operations Center (JDOC) Officer. This position is integral to the Office of Resilience and Emergency Management (OREM), which is dedicated to preventing, protecting, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from various threats and hazards. The successful candidate will oversee the operations of the JDOC during incidents, ensuring compliance with the National Incident Management System (NIMS). This role is crucial in establishing policies and standards for incident readiness and directing unit efforts to meet these standards. As the JDOC Operations Officer, you will be responsible for preparing operational orders, plans, and reports during JDOC activations. You will lead interagency coordination efforts, manage JDOC activities, and establish operational procedures for mass care, including feeding, sheltering, and emergency assistance for displaced Oregonians during disaster events. The position requires strong leadership skills to guide disaster response and recovery teams, as well as the ability to develop and execute comprehensive work plans in a rapidly changing environment. The Office of Resilience and Emergency Management collaborates with various governmental and private partners to support disaster survivors and reduce the impact of disasters on communities.
