About The Position

The Limited X-Ray Technician III at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is responsible for assisting physicians and providers in general medicine and specialized medical practice duties. This role involves performing diagnostic x-rays for patients of all ages, ensuring accuracy under the direction of a radiologist, and managing all related darkroom duties. The position requires effective collaboration with patients and clinic personnel, emphasizing the importance of patient care and technical proficiency in radiology.

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a State recognized vocational school.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited limited radiology program, including digital training.
• MA Certificate required.
• Current CPR Certificate required.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Windows.
• Knowledge/experience with GE RIS and PACS.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
• Working knowledge of EPIC or other Electronic Medical Record system (EMR).
• Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician/provider with general medicine or specialized medical practice duties as a Medical Assistant.
• Perform diagnostic x-rays within licensure for patients of all ages.
• Ensure accuracy of x-rays under the direction of the radiologist.
• Manage all duties relating to the darkroom.
• Work effectively with patients and other clinic personnel.
