About the position

The LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) Analyst plays a crucial role in optimizing laboratory operations through the effective use of LIMS software. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory workflows and the ability to configure LIMS to meet the specific needs of the laboratory environment. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring that the LIMS is fully integrated with other laboratory systems and middleware solutions, facilitating seamless data flow and enhancing overall laboratory efficiency. In this role, the LIMS Analyst will engage in project management activities, overseeing the implementation of LIMS projects from inception to completion. This includes gathering requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time and within budget. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the analyst will work closely with laboratory staff, IT teams, and management to ensure that the LIMS meets the operational needs of the laboratory. The LIMS Analyst will also be tasked with troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise within the LIMS environment. This requires strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, as well as technical proficiency in database management and various software applications. The analyst will be expected to stay current with industry standards, including HL7 and ASTM, to ensure compliance and best practices in clinical data management and systems integration.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize laboratory operations through effective use of LIMS software.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of practical experience with Lab Information Systems and Middleware solutions.
  • Experience in Laboratory Automation and Clinical Data Management.
  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Biological Sciences, or Medical Technologies.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory operations and workflows.
  • Expertise in LIMS software and configuration.
  • Project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Technical proficiency in database management and software applications.
