About the position
The Line Cook / Cafe Assistant at Tyler Technologies Inc. is responsible for supporting food preparation and ensuring the cafe operates smoothly. This role involves preparing meals, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service in a cafe setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and stocking as directed by cafe manager or lead
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and catering items according to the day's plan
- Ensure that the cafe is set up in the morning and broken down correctly at the end of each day and that the space is clean, stocked, organized, and inviting at the end of each day
- Assist with the purchase of food and supplies using the order book
- Assist on the food line as needed
- Assist with other office-related activities such as filling in at the reception desk
- Provide excellent customer service while preparing orders
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in food preparation or cooking
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting
- Familiarity with catering operations
