About the position

The Line Cook at Oklahoma City Courtyard is responsible for assisting the Chef in food production and preparation, ensuring high-quality culinary standards are met. This role emphasizes creativity, teamwork, and a passion for cooking, with opportunities for skill development and career growth within the culinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef in production and fabrication of food products for various dining services.
  • Develop knowledge and skills in various cooking procedures and methods.
  • Recreate menu items for restaurant and banquets.
  • Minimize food waste through cross utilization.
  • Setup workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat.
  • Maintain kitchen sanitization and proper food storage practices.

Requirements

  • Active Food handler's certification or the ability to obtain it.
  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to be on your feet for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds.
