About the position

The Line Cook at Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club is responsible for creating and designing unique menu items while ensuring that all food and beverage products are prepared and served according to hotel standards. This role requires adherence to budget guidelines and compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Create and design new and unique menu items.
  • Assist the Executive Chef in establishing department budgets and adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and excellent working condition of all kitchen equipment through personal inspection and following culinary preventative maintenance programs.
  • Comply with all federal, state, county, and municipal regulations pertaining to health, safety, and labor requirements in the kitchen.

Requirements

  • Experience in a culinary role, preferably in a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Culinary degree or certification.
  • Experience with menu design and development.
