About the position

The position involves performing essential tasks associated with the operation of Muni's Sports Grille, focusing on cooking and preparing menu items according to established standards. The role emphasizes customer service and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cook and prepare all menu items according to standards set by the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Prepare basic components of each dish using approved recipes and processes.
  • Memorize and utilize set serving portion sizes and meal prep procedures.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food on the line.
  • Collaborate with other cooks for portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate old products based on a created schedule.
  • Check refrigerators and freezers for inventory control and proper operation.
  • Remove garbage as necessary and keep surrounding areas clean.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of line cook or catering experience.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record or ability to obtain a valid MT driver's license within 6 months of hire.
  • Current Serve Safe Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
