This Transmission Line Engineer position reports to the Transmission Maintenance Center (TMC) Supervisor and is responsible for leading the Macon TMC area line maintenance program, preparing and closing capital and maintenance work orders, coordinating material needs, overseeing maintenance and inspection programs and contractors, entering and reviewing data, coordinating work activities with other departments, patrolling transmission lines, coordinating repairs on transmission lines and associated equipment, attending Planning & Pre-construction meetings, and providing technical support to the TMC Contract Line crew. The transmission maintenance line engineer must have a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, and possess excellent customer service skills for interaction with customers and property owners. This position will be filled at Exempt Level 3-6, dependent upon the qualifications, skills, and experience of the successful candidate. The successful candidate must live within commutable distance of the Macon Transmission Maintenance Center or be willing to quickly relocate. This position is in Macon, GA. Relocation assistance available, if qualified.
