About the position

We are seeking a professional line cook to join our culinary team at our upscale casual restaurant located at 3423 Central Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing food according to the chef's specifications and setting up stations for the menu. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to our acquisition goals. The successful candidate will assist the executive and sous chef with daily tasks, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards and served in a timely manner. As a line cook, your duties will include setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies, preparing food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces, and cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. You will also be responsible for cleaning up your station and taking care of leftover food, stocking inventory appropriately, and ensuring that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion. Compliance with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards is essential, as is maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, with expected hours ranging from 20 to 30 hours per week. The shifts available include evening and night shifts, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

Requirements

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry's best practices
  • 3 years of cooking experience required
