About the position

The Line Service Technician (LST) at Signature Aviation is a customer service role focused on providing safe and efficient services for general aviation aircraft, crews, and passengers. The LST operates ground service equipment and ensures excellent service delivery while adhering to company policies and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team delivering safe and efficient aircraft services while providing a welcoming atmosphere to customers and other guests.
  • Collaborate with coworkers, customers, clients, vendors, and aircraft crewmembers to ensure customer service needs are met.
  • Service aircraft as requested by management or customers, including fueling, de-icing, lavatory, ground power, and potable water services.
  • Operate and drive ground service equipment such as fuel trucks, de-icing trucks, and tugs.
  • Offer, promote, sell, and deliver general aviation services to crewmembers and customers.
  • Maintain safe, clean, and secure ramps and operations.
  • Drive a shuttle vehicle with passengers and/or luggage and cargo.
  • Load and unload luggage and other cargo into/out of aircraft and from/into the FBO.
  • Conduct fuel handling including quality control and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Provide professional and friendly customer service at all times.
  • Understand and enforce all operational, safety, and customer service requirements.
  • Comply with security protocols as dictated by Signature and the airport.
  • Create accurate records pertaining to time worked and activities performed.
  • Abide by emergency response procedures during critical events.
  • Recommend improvements to Signature's standards and practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • A valid state driver's license; a commercial driver's license (CDL) may be required in some locations.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
  • Legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
  • Ability to complete Signature's training programs.
  • Ability to pass a color vision test for inspecting aviation fuel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic operations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three to six months experience in aviation, customer service, or a related field.
