About the position
DHE Transportation is seeking dedicated CDL Class A Local Truck drivers to join our expanding team. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently, primarily during night shifts, with a focus on delivering excellent service in a supportive work environment. Responsibilities
- Transport freight in a safe and prompt manner.
- Interact with clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner with limited supervision.
- Comply with Department of Transportation regulations and laws.
- Maintain responsibility for the safety and security of company equipment and customer goods.
- Load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, either individually or with assistance.
- Record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts, and tally sheets.
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking levers to raise and lower landing gear.
- Fuel trucks and tractors.
- Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Experience in local delivery driving.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Bobtail driving experience.
- Experience with doubles transport.
