About the position

The Journeyman Lineman position at APS involves working on new construction projects and maintaining existing underground and overhead facilities. This role is part of the HUBwest Overhead System Construction Crew and requires a strong work ethic and the ability to work out of town. The position operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Work on new construction projects for overhead and underground facilities.
  • Maintain existing overhead and underground electrical systems.
  • Operate aerial equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to callouts and perform necessary repairs as needed.
  • Complete written and hands-on exams to demonstrate skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies during all operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Completion of a Registered Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program or equivalent training.
  • One year of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.
  • Valid manual transmission Commercial Driver's License (Class 'A').
  • Experience working on distribution lines from 4kv to 21kv and related equipment.
  • Ability to pass written and hands-on exams and demonstrate climbing skills.
