The Lineman position at Broadband of Indiana, LLC involves installing and maintaining telecommunications lines and cables. Responsibilities

• Read and understand work orders.
• Execute job duties according to print.
• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable.
• Operate aerial bucket to perform working duties.
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers.
• Flag traffic when required.
• Establish all safety protocols on job sites.

Requirements

• Previous work experience around existing utility.
• Knowledge in OSHA, NESC, NEC and other similar construction guidelines.
• Valid driver's license with clear MVR.
• Ability to climb telephone poles up to forty feet and work in an extended bucket truck.
• Knowledge on how to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction).
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. as needed with or without assistance.
• Ability to interact and communicate with co-workers in a clear & professional manner.
• Ability to set up & maintain safe work areas.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
