About The Position

The Linen Aide at Valley Medical Center is responsible for managing linen duties throughout the hospital, ensuring that clean linen is delivered to various departments to support daily patient care. This role involves transporting, stocking, and maintaining linen supplies while adhering to departmental procedures and safety standards. The position requires effective communication and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Six months of experience in linen or related services.
• Demonstrates understanding of mathematics and effective communication in English.
• Ability to work independently and on assigned shifts, including weekends.
• Good interpersonal skills in a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linen to all departments to support patient care.
• Transport and stock linen supplies according to departmental procedures.
• Fill out daily usage forms and communicate pertinent information to the shift supervisor.
• Respond to customer linen requests in a timely manner.
• Collect and transfer linen from the hospital to designated areas.
• Clean linen distribution carts to ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop floors in designated areas.
• Monitor quality and report repair or maintenance needs.
• Complete special linen assignments as necessary.
• Attend department in-service and education meetings.
