About the position
The Linen Aide position at Allina Health involves the delivery, collection, and laundering of linen within the healthcare facility. This part-time role is essential for maintaining cleanliness and proper linen supply for patient care, ensuring that all areas are stocked with clean linen and that soiled linen is processed efficiently. The position requires working rotating weekends and is part of a unionized workforce.
Responsibilities
- Delivers clean linen to designated stocking areas.
- Ensures proper levels of linen are maintained in the stock areas.
- Collects soiled linen.
- Launders soiled linen using washer and dryer.
- Ensures carts are prepared and ready for delivery and reuse.
- Stores remaining linen in the linen room.
- Empties bins to accommodate soiled linen.
- May track linen usage in daily log.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- 0 to 2 years of health care linen experience.
Nice-to-haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 6 months similar work experience.
