About The Position
The Linen Services Associate at Mohawk Valley Health System plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of resident and patient linens. Under the direct supervision of the Linen Services Supervisor, the associate is responsible for ensuring that all linens are washed, dried, ironed, folded, and stored properly to preserve their color and fabric integrity. This position is essential in preventing contamination and the spread of bacteria, which is vital in a healthcare environment. The associate will engage in various laundry duties, including folding and spreading sheets, feeding sheets into machines, filling linen carts, and delivering clean linens to designated floors within the facility. Additionally, the associate is tasked with keeping the laundry area and equipment clean and organized, adhering to all clean linen procedures, and supporting Environmental Services as needed. The role may also involve performing other duties as required to ensure the smooth operation of the laundry department.
