This position is based in Richardson, TX, and requires full-time physical presence in the office to effectively manage the responsibilities associated with the role. As a Data Center Engineer, you will engage in various tasks that include racking, cabling, and configuring management network devices and console switches. You will also review break-fix tickets daily to ensure compliance with Data Center Operations standards and provide quality control after installations by third-party vendors. Your role will involve executing LinkedIn's build readiness tool to prepare server nodes for the Linux Kickstart process and addressing any issues that arise during this process. Additionally, you will troubleshoot network issues, manage decommissioning of server nodes, and monitor electrical infrastructure faults, escalating any critical incidents to Senior Engineers as necessary.
