About the position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of system architecture, virtualization technologies, and cloud services, particularly Azure. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our IT operations and contributing to the overall success of our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage system architecture to meet organizational needs.
• Administer and maintain cloud services, particularly in Azure environments.
• Oversee virtualization technologies, including VMWare, to optimize resource utilization.
• Configure and manage DNS settings to ensure proper network functionality.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability.
• Collaborate with development teams to support system design and integration efforts.
• Ensure the security of systems by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits.
• Provide technical support for Windows-based systems and applications.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance IT capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role in IT.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in Azure cloud services and management tools.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare.
• Familiarity with DNS management and configuration.
• Solid understanding of Windows operating systems and server environments.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java is a plus but not required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to vaticinate potential issues before they arise.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Batch Team operations.
• Familiarity with Skybot/GoAnywhere.
• Proficiency in scheduling tools and Managed File Transfer (MFT).
• Preferred skills include automation and, more specifically, job scheduling/MFT administration.
