About the position
Connvertex Technologies is seeking a skilled Linux Administrator with a strong background in automation, particularly using Ansible. This position is hybrid, requiring the candidate to work onsite three days a week in Camden, NJ, and allows for two days of remote work. The role is a 12-month contract, and the ideal candidate will have over 11 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years specifically in Linux administration. The focus of this position is to enhance automation processes using Ansible, and experience with ServiceNow integration is considered a valuable asset. Candidates should be proficient in Red Hat or Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL), as these are essential for the role. While experience with Solaris is not mandatory, it is viewed as a beneficial addition to the candidate's skill set. The position offers a competitive hourly rate between $50 and $55, with an expected workload of 40 hours per week, structured as an 8-hour shift.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux servers and systems.
- Implement automation solutions using Ansible.
- Integrate Ansible with ServiceNow for improved workflow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Linux-related issues.
- Ensure system security and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 10 years of IT experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in Linux administration.
- Strong proficiency in Ansible, with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience.
- Experience with Red Hat or Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL).
- Familiarity with Solaris is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Ansible and ServiceNow integration.
- Knowledge of OVM Management and HyperVizers.
