About the position

Stratum Networks is seeking a Junior Linux Scripter to support clients in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. This role involves designing architecture and developing solutions in a hybrid cloud environment, focusing on Linux administration and automation. The ideal candidate will work within a small, dedicated team to maintain and troubleshoot Linux instances across various networks and architectures, while enhancing their skills and advancing their career.

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux server administration tasks including configuring, patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and automate processes using scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Collaborate with team members to communicate issues and solutions effectively.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux instances on multiple networks.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience (5 years of system administration experience may substitute for a degree).
• Experience in Linux server administration.
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Puppet and Ansible.
• Familiarity with AWS EC2 Auto Scaling and aws-cli.
• Experience with boto3.
