About the position

Apex Systems is seeking a Senior Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center in Suffolk, VA. This role involves providing expertise in Linux systems to enhance the operational capabilities of a large government client. The position is primarily on-site and requires a strong background in IT and data strategy, particularly within the Department of Defense (DoD) context.

Responsibilities

• Support the JS J7 Joint Training DevSecOps pipeline core infrastructure and data center.
• Provide expertise in Linux systems to enhance operational capabilities.
• Develop and mentor staff at all levels to build and deliver high-quality simulation services.
• Define data strategy and architectures for the organization.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance
• Active IAT Level II certification
• A Bachelor's degree and/or 8 years of experience with data design in a consulting or internal role.
• At least 5 years of experience related to DoD major systems or programs.
