About the position

Apex Systems is seeking a Linux System Administrator to support a major Government/DoD client. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, with the first month being fully remote, followed by alternating months of on-site and remote work. The position is contract-based, with an estimated duration of 2 to 24 months, and requires a Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support a DevSecOps pipeline environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Deploy Platform as a Service (PaaS) solutions.
• Automate platform management at an enterprise scale.
• Develop platform APIs for scalable and repeatable software operations.
• Respond to software outages and conduct postmortem reviews, including root cause analyses.

Requirements

• Secret Security Clearance
• Security+CE certification
• Experience with Ansible or Terraform
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps environments
• Linux scripting skills for command line interfaces.
