About the position

The Linux System Administrator role at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) involves supporting mission-critical applications in a dynamic team environment. Responsibilities

• Maintaining and upgrading the Kubernetes clusters on the systems.
• Patching, upgrading, scanning, reporting, and remediation of vulnerabilities for the systems.
• Providing support to create/maintain ATO for the systems.
• Continuous monitoring of all systems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• 5 years of experience as a System Administrator for Linux (Red Hat and CentOS) and Windows/VMWare.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university, or 5 years of additional SA experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with System Administration in the cloud (deploying and operating services and applications in an Amazon AWS/C2S infrastructure environment).
• Experience with Kubernetes.

• Experience with Microservices architectures.
• Experience with Network Information Service (NIS), Network File System (NFS), Domain Name System (DNS), and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
